The Norwegian Directorate of Water Resources and Energy (NVE) preserves, documents and disseminates management history, images and objects related to hydropower, energy, waterways, landslides and ice. NVE's cultural history collections consist of drawings, maps, objects and analogue photographs dating back to the 19th century. The communication has a nationwide focus. The photo collection consists of approx. 200,000 analogue photographs from the end of the 19th century until around 2000.
